Prefixes
Prefixes
A prefix is placed before the stem of a word, changing the word into another word. For example, when the prefix un- is added to the word happy, it creates the word unhappy.
Examples:
- e-learning
- re-sign (to sign again) versus resign
- re-sent (to send again) versus resent.
The exception is email.
