When do units start?

Generally, unit start dates are set to start in Connect to coincide with the start date of the semester although this is not always the case. For information on when a specific unit is supposed to start, contact the instructor for the unit.

Why is a unit I unenrolled from still showing up in Connect?

Wait 24-48 hours for the unenrolment to be processed. If after this time frame, you still see the unit in Connect, contact customer support or your instructor for that unit as you may not have been successfully unenrolled.

The wrong unit is showing in Connect, what do I do?

If the wrong unit is showing up in Connect, this means that you are enrolled in the wrong unit. Contact customer support for further assistance.

Why is a unit I'm registered for not visible in Connect when I sign in?

There are several reasons why a unit you are registered for is not visible in Connect:

  • If you have only registered for the unit within the last 24 hours, the registration may not be processed yet. Please wait 24-48 hours after registering for a unit to appear in Connect.
  • The unit may not be active. Your instructor is responsible for activating the unit so contact them to see when the unit will be activated.
  • The unit hasn't started. If the unit has not yet started, it will not be visible in Connect. If you are unsure about when your unit is supposed to start, contact the instructor for that unit for further information.
  • The instructor may not be using Connect for this unit. Contact the instructor to see if the unit is available online in Connect.

How do I remove old units that still appear on the home page?

Connect admins will typically remove old units from your student view periodically. If you still see units from previous semesters which have ended, you can contact the instructor for that unit in order to remove it from your home page. Ask the instructor to request that the unit is de-activated. If the instructor isn't available, contact customer support and explain the issue.

How do I access a unit?

After you log in to Connect, you can access a unit by doing one of the following:

  • From the navbar, click Select a unit, and choose a unit from the list or search for it.
  • From the home page, click a unit from the My Units widget.

How do I pin units to the top of the Select a Unit list?

To easily access the units you are enrolled in, you can pin them to the top of the Select a unit list.

  1. From the navbar, click Select a unit.
  2. Type the name of the unit that you want to pin or find it by searching in the Search for a unit field.
  3. Click the Pin icon beside the unit.
