Making sure a unit offering is active
Activating a unit makes the unit appear in the registered learner's My Units widget. Activating a unit also makes it available to learners if your unit does not have a Start Date or End Date.
If your unit does have a Start Date that is later than the day the unit is activated, the unit appears in the My Units widget, but is not available to learners until the date specified.
If your unit has an End Date and is not deactivated, after that specified date passes, the unit remains visible in the My Units widget, but is not available to learners.
Important: These settings are often a reflection of study dates stored in the SMS. In many cases, the data may need to be updated in the SMS first in order to be synchronised with the units in Connect. Please contact your regional LMS administrator for more information.
To check these settings:
- On the navbar of the unit you want to check, click Unit Admin > Unit Offering Information.
- Verify the Unit is active check box is ticked.
- Verify the Start Date and End Dates of your unit are set.
- If these settings are not correct, please contact your regional LMS administrator team.
