Where can I find my Instructor's email?
Some good places to find your instructor's email address are:
- Your Unit Overview. This may be posted in the Content tool in Connect
- Your classlist
- Your teacher may have posted an announcement on the unit's homepage with their details.
I am unable to login to TAFE PCs on campus (not Connect), what do I do?
If you are unable to log in to your school email portal, contact your institution's Help Desk.
How do I check my TAFE emails?
TAFE Queensland does not currently provide learners with an email inbox or email address. Any emails you receive from TAFE Queensland will be sent to the personal email address that you provided at enrolment. If you did not provide an email at enrolment and would like your Connect account to be updated with an email account so you receive email-based updates or notifications, please contact customer support.
How can I forward my Connect emails to another email account?
It is not possible to have one email account nominated for your TAFE student account and a separate email account for Connect communications only. If you wish to update your student account with a new email address, please contact customer support.
I get a "Not Authorized" error trying to access the Email tool, what do I do?
From the navbar, click on your Message Alerts (envelope icon). Do you see this message?
You must complete the following quizzes for alerts to be enabled: {Quiz Name}
Once you complete the quiz detailed in the message alert, you will be able to access your email - while the quiz is in progress, your ability to send email via Connect is disabled by your instructor.
I cannot access my email inbox from within Connect, I can only send emails
This is by design –TAFE Queensland does not provide an email inbox, so Connect is configured to only allow sending of email. You cannot receive emails in Connect. Check the email inbox you provided at enrolment to receive emails sent to you via Connect.
