The Learning Content module contains four or more sub-modules:

• Learning Content

• Learner Guide

• Glossary

• Acknowledgements

All Learning Content sub-modules should be set to Completion status: Required Manual unless a content topic is considered non-essential to the student learning experience.

If the unit is Assessment Only (ASO) the Learning Content module visibility should be disabled for a better student experience as learning materials will be added by a teacher to Additional Content.

Learning Content

Learning Content consists of sub-module topics of made of all materials.

The sub-modules may include content in a range of formats.

The learning resources contained in the Learning Resource modules can contain a mix of content and Connect activities, sequentially ordered.

Content is often created in (but not is limited to) the following formats. These formats are rendered and displayed in-browser:

• HTML pages

• Uploaded video/audio [mp4, mp3, wav, aac, m4a]

• Uploaded images [gif, png, jpg]

• Embedded/linked video [URL or embed code]

• Microsoft Word [doc, docx]

• Microsoft PowerPoint [ppt, pptx, pps, ppsx]

• Adobe Portable Document Format [pdf]

• Web links [URL]

Many other file formats can be uploaded (i.e. ZIP/RAR files, Microsoft Visio VSD, Photoshop PSD file, ArchiCAD PLN file etc), but will not be displayed in-browser. Students will be prompted to download file locally and may require additional software to view.

Connect activities can be created as:

• Checklists

• Discussion topics

• Self-assessments

• Assignment folders (formative)

• Quizzes (formative)

• Surveys

All learning resources (whether content or activity) intended to be completed by the student should be added as a topic, either within a Learning Resources module or the Supplementary resources module.
